A significant traffic disruption occurred on the Ultadanga flyover in Kolkata on Saturday morning when a lorry became stuck on the bridge near Ultadanga on the bypass. The incident unfolded as the lorry, descending from the bridge on the bypass from VIP Road, got entangled with the height bar, resulting in a lengthy traffic jam.
The impact of the collision caused the height bar to break. Prompt response from Kolkata Police and the fire brigade ensued, as they swiftly arrived at the scene and utilized a crane to extract the stuck lorry. After hours of concerted efforts, normal traffic flow on the bypass was eventually restored.
